VEAES sections are educational interest groups within the membership, and are recognized as a Section of the Society upon approval of the Executive Committee.
Sections establish goals and activities annually in such areas as curriculum professional development, and policy advice to the VEAES Executive Committee in these areas as well as any other matters of general concern to the Section.
Area Counsellors
The VEAES Area Counsellors Section meets regularly to discuss matters of interest and concern to area counsellors working in Vancouver.
Learning Support Specialist Teachers
VEAES Learning Support Specialist Teachers Section meet to discuss matters of interest and concern to teachers of students who require specialized support. The Section also examines trends in Resource and ELL teaching in Vancouver schools. ELL Provincial Specialist Association (PSA)
Gifted Education
The Gifted Education Section was first recognized in 2005, and meet to discuss matters of interest and concern to teachers of gifted students or students with exceptional abilities.
Psychologists
The VEAES Psychologists Section meet to discuss matters of interest and concern to teacher-psychologists working in Vancouver public schools.
Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs)
The VEAES SLP Section meet to discuss matters of interest and concern to speech/language pathologists working in Vancouver public schools.
Teacher-Librarians
The VEAES Teacher-Librarians Section meets regularly to discuss matters of interest and concern to teacher-librarians working in Vancouver public schools.
